Celebrating NEW YEARS EVE in NEW YORK CITY

Last city in our Trip to USA is New York. We timed our stay in New York on 31 December 2019 so that we can to get experience midnight celebration in New York. This video shows 3 Day Itinerary of New York City along with celebrating New Years Eve in New York City !!

First day in city was remind me of movie rainy day in New York. It was raining, wind blowing, roads empty, gloomy weather .. but still, the city had some vibes to make it perfect to walk around with rains falling on you. We started our day with visiting the new attraction called Vessel in Hudson Yard. The tickets needs to be booked well in advance and our slot was later in the day which we couldn’t do, so we just saw it from outside and started walking towards High Lines, 2 km elevated walk-way created on old railroad. It connects some attractions in Manhattan and has good view of the city. If you are there on sunny day, opt for sunset view. As rains started pouring, we stepped inside American Museum of Natural History. It is quite huge and covering each section in 2 hours is not possible. So we thought of spending time by watching their space show and T-Rex exhibit. Later, went to Rockefeller centre for observation deck visit, however, due to heavy rains it was closed. As per our original plan, we were suppose to do new year in Times Square with ball drop but after hearing many stories, we decided to skip on 31 Dec and visit it a day prior. This mean we have to search for places other than Times Square for new year celebration in New York City. We walked across Times Square and saw preparation for 31 Dec going on in full swing.

Second day was sunny day and our hopes to find something exciting for midnight was high as we wish to celebrate new years in New York ! We continued with visiting New York tourist attractions by covering New York Stock exchange on Wall Street and Charging Bull. Afterwards, we went to 9/11 Memorial and One World Observatory for 360 degree view of New York City. Later we went to Brooklyn Bridge and walked for a while. Our google search showed that apart from ball drop in Times Square, we can go to Prospect Park in Brooklyn for New Year fireworks !!

Other options for New Year Celebration in New York City:

~ Cruise around Statue of Liberty (cost 200$ per person)

~ Fireworks at Brooklyn Bridge (Free)

~ Midnight Run at Central Park

Last day in NYC was sweet day with visit to Hershey’s Chocolate Factory. We did their make your own chocolate bar and got to see entire process of making the chocolate bar with self created cover. We ended our trip by visiting Panda Light Festival to see holiday lights !!! Hope New York Itinerary for 3 Days is very helpful
