Recently I went for Sailing in Mumbai with LeisureKart. LeisureKart offers many experiences like sailing, yacht, helicopter and many more. It is one stop shop for fun and exciting activities. I booked Seabird Sailboat experience in Mumbai. The sailing experience is for 2 hours where they take you through the sea. They offer morning and evening slots for sailing. We opted for 2 hours sailing in the evening from 4-6 pm, perfect time to enjoy sunset.

Sailing experience

The entry for sailing is from Gateway of India, Colaba. The Jetty Point is opposite Taj Mahal Hotel. We contacted Leisurekart after reaching the Jetty Point. There we entered the small boat from there, they assigned us to our respective Sailboats and Yachts. Seabird Sailboat can take upto 5 people plus sailor who will navigate the sailboat. Sailor explained us everything about sailing, how the boat navigates, direction of wind and so on!

As we set through the sea, he showed us many landmark, including Indian Navy Boats, dock point, Mumbai Skyline covering Colaba, Navy nagar and other parts of South Bombay. When we went, wind was not that good and it was bit cloudy day. On a good day, the experience becomes soothing as wind blows through your hair, sailboat keeps going forward and gather speed!

We obviously spent lot of time taking photos and video of our experience. As we were enjoying, clicking pictures and all, we didn’t even realise that 2 hours are over and we headed back to jetty point. Once we are closer to the jetty point, other boat comes to pick you up from sailboat and drop you at jetty.

Experience with LeisureKart

Leisurekart team was very efficient and helpful. Boats were clean and all the precautions for safety were well taken care of. It is amazing experience especially if you are planning to celebrate occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and milestone events! Leisurekart team also helps with the planning your events, if required.

Overall, the entire experience of Sailing in Mumbai was great and I would strongly recommend everyone who stays in Mumbai or are visiting as tourist to opt for this experience. It gives you chance to see the city in new light!
